Thank you for sharing this, Carol.
Your father was a remarkable man, as they all were -- and are still today (along with the women, too) -- not simply because he had some sort of special quality that the rest of us don't posses. But, rather, because he overcame that fear that he spoke of that day on the shores of Normandy and did the best he could for his country.
